Bryan Quang Le (born November 19, 1996 [age 1996]), better known as RiceGum, is an American YouTuber and online streamer. He is best known for his diss tracks and online feuds with other YouTube personalities. Since creating his YouTube channel, his channel has received over ten million subscribers and over two billion video views. == Why He's RiceScum == # His lyrics are very simple, and all revolve around flexing, wealth, and money. Not only that, but he also uses disses against other influencers as filler for his songs. # His beats all sound the same, due to him frequently collaborating with duo Dream Addix, who barely change their style. #* He also sometimes steals beats from other artists' songs, such as in "I Didn't Hit Her", where he steals the beat from the song "Portland" by famed rapper Drake, although this can be justified by the fact that it was not a commercial release. # He, alongside Jake Paul, were responsible for starting the diss track drama, which led to a flurry of YouTubers beefing with each other just for the sake of a diss and to top the charts, since both the aforementioned YouTubers' disses were successful chart hits. #* Because of the success of "It's Every Night Sis", he took shots at other YouTubers in an attempt to capitalize on his newfound musical success. One example is the infamous diss track "Frick da Police" against iDubbbz, which was his response to iDubbbz's and Boyinaband's excellent diss track against him, "Asian Jake Paul". # His gaming channel is terrible. # He made a horrible Fortnite song called "Fortnite N' Chill". # When he sings, he uses way too much autotune. # He's feuded with many other YouTubers and musicians like KSI, iDubbbz, Gabbie Hanna, and Jacob Sartorius (keep in mind, he feuded with the latter, when he was 13). #While talking to a rape victim during a livestream, he asked her "Did it feel good though?" #On June 12, 2018, he uploaded a vlog of himself visiting Hong Kong, in which he mocked Hong Kong locals and culture with various stereotypes (such as eating dogs and cats, as well as Hong Kong people's supposed inability to speak English). What's worse is that when this caused backlash, he claimed that he was only "joking around" when doing it. #He and Jake Paul promoted MysteryBrand, a mystery box opening website which many have dismissed as a scam. #*Not only that, but he apologized by giving his fans Amazon codes that had expired! #His feud with his ex-girlfriend Abby Rao: #*While playing a game of Fuck, Marry, Kill on a livestream, not only did say he would "kill" Abby, but he also said "I'm killing Abby. Murdering, assassinating, hire a hit, murder, all that. You know what I'm saying? Torture, all that. Kill Abby. Boom." #*He made several sexual comments about Abby's parents. #*He even claimed to "own a percentage" of Abby, which, if true, could amount to slavery. #*Abby even considered pursuing legal action against Rice because of all this. #He also supported the NFT Save The Kids, which was supposedly a charity token, however, it was later pumped-and-dumped by it's ambassadors causing it to lose value. #His music pages became vulnerable to his haters after he left YouTube. Random artists would "hack" his Spotify, iTunes, etc. by crediting him as a lead/featured artist in his song and publish it. Half of the time, the song is a actually a diss aimed at him. == Redeeming Qualities == #In his series These Kids Must Be Stopped, he did make some valid points about how kids being sexualized is a serious problem that is all too common nowadays. #He has a few good songs like "It's Every Night Sis" and "God Church". #He was entertaining on social media before 2017. == References == <references />Comments
