Todd Christopher Kohlhepp (Born: March 7, 1971, as Todd Christopher Sampsell), better known online as Soldbytodd, is an American serial killer, mass shooter, serial rapist, animal abuser, and kidnapper who murdered seven people in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, between 2003 and 2016. In addition, Kohlhepp kidnapped and raped at least two women and claims to have killed many more.

His YouTube Career is often repetitive and unsuccessful, as all of the videos(Excluding the first four he uploaded onto the channel) have the keyword Call Todd Kohlhepp: (864) 384-2488 in their titles. Despite uploading thousands of videos, almost none of the videos surpass a hundred views, and the only videos that surpassed a thousand views are the top three, with the most popular being titled $189,000 4BR 2BA in BOILING SPRINGS 29316. Call Todd Kohlhepp: (864) 384-2488, which has over seven thousand views.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lN2oGRkMOxE</ref>

Why his real estate career is a failure

Warning!
Todd Kohlhepp is known for having a history of behavioural problems that eventually led to him committing a mass shooting in a motorcycle store in Chensee, South Carolina that killed four people and kidnapped, tortured, and killed three more people in 2015-2016. Due to how problematic the nature of his actions is, redeeming qualities will be limited to his YouTube career. If you add any redeeming qualities unrelated to his YouTube career, they will be reverted for insensitivity towards sexual abuse and murder.
  1. His personal life is often troubling. When he was in nursery school, he was known to be aggressive toward other children, destroy their projects, vandalize his bedroom with a hammer, behave disruptively in a daycare group, shred his clothes, trap a child in a dog cage, and watch pornographic content when he was 9.<ref>https://web.archive.org/web/20180108125807/http://wbtw.com/2016/11/04/court-documents-at-15-years-old-kohlhepp-tied-up-14-year-old-sexually-assaulted-her/</ref><ref>https://myfox8.com/news/former-attorney-for-todd-kohlhepp-no-indication-that-he-was-a-bundy/</ref>.
  2. On November 25, 1986, when he was 15, he kidnapped a 14-year-old named Kristie Granado in Tempe, Arizona. He threatened her with a blue steel .22-calibre revolver, before bringing her back to his home, tied her up, taped her mouth shut, and raped her. Afterwards, he walked to her home and threatened to kill her entire family if she told anyone about what had happened. He would later be arrested and admit his guilt that he raped out of anger of his father divorcing from his mother.<ref>https://www.cbsnews.com/news/todd-kohlhepp-south-carolina-who-is-suspected-serial-killer/</ref>
  3. On November 6, 2003, a customer found four people shot dead inside Superbike Motorsports, a motorcycle shop in Chesnee. The victims were identified as Scott Ponder, 30, the owner; Brian Lucas, 29, the service manager; Chris Sherbert, 26, a mechanic; and Beverly Guy, 52, who was Ponder's mother and the bookkeeper. He got away with the shooting until he confessed to the shootings in 2016, but before this, investigators believed that the gunman, armed with a pistol, entered the shop from the back and killed Sherbert as he worked, Guy in the middle of the showroom, Lucas at the main doorway, and Ponder in the parking lot.
  4. Despite being registered as a sex offender, Kohlhepp was able to get a real estate license on June 30, 2006, after lying about the felony charge on his application.
    • From this, he built a firm that had a dozen agents in its employ, and became Carolina's top-selling agent. The firm was closed down following his arrest.
  5. A customer who sold her home to Kohlhepp remembered him as extremely outgoing and professional, but noted that he would often talk about his guns, assault rifles, BMWs, and sometimes subtly use sexual innuendo during their conversations. Conversely, a woman who assisted one of Kohlhepp's employees described him as angry, verbally abusive, and condescending towards her partner.<ref>https://www.greenvilleonline.com/story/news/crime/2016/11/07/kohlhepp-remembered-great-salesman-chilling-quirks/93422038/</ref>
  6. Kohlhepp frequented a Waffle House restaurant in Roebuck, where his behaviour disturbed the waitresses to the point where the male cook began to take Kohlhepp's orders for them.
  7. On August 31, 2016, he would lure two people(Kala Brown and Charles David Carver) into his property after they went to remove brush from one of Kohlhepp's properties. And he would then proceed to kill one of his victims, before raping the victim's girlfriend and trapping her in a metal container and chaining the container so she couldn't escape in a storage building.<ref>http://web.archive.org/web/20161107133827/https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/sheriff-man-killed-confesses-2003-slayings-43336516</ref>
  8. On December 22, 2015, he then hired another couple(Johnny Joe Coxie and Meagan Leigh McCraw-Coxie) to work on his property, before being shot and killed. Their bodies would be found a year later.<ref>https://www.greenvilleonline.com/story/news/crime/2016/11/07/investigators-look-third-body-kohlhepp-property/93415002/</ref>

Redeeming Qualites

Note
This is not meant to defend Kohlhepp's actions, as it only mentions the videos on his channel.
  • His videos are well presented.
  • The houses he presented and sold to others were often in high-quality condition.
  • He has put in tons of effort to make his video descriptions.

Trivia

  • Shortly after Kohlhepp's arrest, authorities in Spartanburg County discovered a number of seemingly joking product reviews for various items such as padlocks, shovels, tasers, and gun accessories on retail website Amazon.com written by a user known simply as "me". One review about a padlock stated, "solid locks.. have 5 on a shipping container.. wont stop them.. but sure will slow them down til they are too old to care." Another, written for a folding shovel, read, "keep in car for when you have to hide the bodies and you left the full size shovel at home.... does not come with a midget, which would have been nice." The reviewer's "wish list" page was listed as Todd Kohlhepp.<ref>https://www.greenvilleonline.com/story/news/crime/2016/11/06/chilling-amazon-product-reviews-catch-attention-kohlhepp-investigators/93403782/</ref>
